Visit the castle with a group?

Taking a group on a tour of the castle?

We are happy to welcome groups for a tour of the castle. An expert guide will show you around and tell you more about the building, its history, former residents, the castle collection and contemporary works of art. Immerse yourself in the richness of more than 800 years of stories.

In 2026, Gaasbeek Castle welcomes Clara Spilliaert for her first solo museum exhibition, Soil Mate. Your group can also explore this exhibition. A guide leads you through the works, which interact with the castle rooms and the collection. You will also discover the eponymous new creation, developed especially for this place.

How many people require the tour?
A guided group visit consists of a maximum of 15 people. Does the group consist of more than 15 people? Then request multiple guides.

What is the cost?
A tour of the castle costs €85 per guide + €8 per person (this is a discounted rate, other discounts or a Museum Pass are not valid on a group visit). Under 18-year-olds can join for free. For visits from 2026 onwards, the cost per guide is €85.

Payment can be made on site, in cash or by Bancontact. If you wish an invoice, a €5 administrative fee will be charged.

How long does a tour last?
The tour itself lasts an hour and a half. For the tour, sign in at the Entrance Building, next to the car park at the park entrance. From there it is about another 600 meters of walking (10 minutes) to the castle, where the guide will be waiting for you. You will make this walk to the castle on your own and is not included in the duration of the tour.

During the tour, a guide will take you through the various castle rooms. Depending on the size of the group and their interests, certain rooms may not be covered for as long or at all. Would you like to visit the entire castle after your guided tour? That is possible, just let us know when you make your reservation or discuss this with the guide on the day itself.

When is a group visit possible?
Group visits start between 10 am and 4 pm. In October, the latest starting time is 3 pm.

Group visits are possible on all opening days of the castle except Sunday afternoons. In July and August on Saturday afternoons and Sundays we focus on individual visitors. Larger groups can not be scheduled at these times as it can be busier. This helps us ensure a pleasant experience for both individual visitors and groups.

How can I make a reservation?
You can make a request by filling in the form below or by emailing bezoek.gaasbeek@vlaanderen.be. We will then get back to you. A request must reach us at least three weeks before the desired date of the tour.

Are the tours provided in different languages?
Yes, in Dutch, French and English.

When are there exhibitions at the castle?
During your guided visit, you explore the castle and the permanent collection, presented within the scenography and narrative Rebel Echoes.

Each year, the castle also organises an exhibition in collaboration with a contemporary artist, usually running from late June until November. In 2026, this exhibition is Soil Mate, Clara Spilliaert’s first solo museum exhibition. The exhibition can also be visited with a guide.

Definitely! In the castle’s former coach house, you’ll find Caffè Carletto – perfect for a drink before or after your visit. Will you be visiting with more than 15 people before or after your guided tour? Please let us know when making your reservation, so we can reserve a few spots for you.

Would you like a guided tour of the Museum Garden?

Is a guide required?
No, you can also visit the castle in a group without a guide. In that case, just buy individual tickets. You cannot bring your own guide. Is it a very large group or do you have specific needs? If so, please contact us at bezoek.gaasbeek@vlaanderen.be.

Gaasbeek Castle is set in a beautiful park that invites you to slow down and go for a walk. Feel free to allow some extra time during your visit to fully enjoy the surrounding nature.
