Canceled - Heritage Day: The Night
25 April 2020
Night as a lair of myths, legends and all manner of stories.
On the occasion of Heritage Day, Gaasbeek Castle takes you into the wondrous world of the ‘Metamorphoses’ of ancient Latin poet, Ovid. A collection of stories that tell of gods and men, violent passions and unrequited desires. An epic fount of tales that inspired countless artists and writers across the centuries and went on to be immortalised by them. With its unique stucco ceiling in the beautifully restored Baroque pavilion,
Gaasbeek Castle is a privileged witness of these. For one day only, the castle and its park will be transformed into a revealed hideaway, in which many tales echo and hang in the air. At times whispered, other times boomingly loud.
Step inside and weave your own world with the enchanting narrative threads of Ovid's ageless epic.
